Before I actually begin this review, I'm going to inform you that I recieved this book via First Reads on Goodreads :D

In General:
The book was pretty good- better than the first one. Or at least that's my opinion. The plot was less of a "will they get together" this time, which was cool. It was also a lot less Twilight-like (no offense to any Twilight lovers), but a bit predictable, especially near the end. I've seen this type of writing before, when the villain is the one person the main character is staunchly supporting. So. On to the broken-up review.
Regarding the Plot:
The plot was really cool this time. A bunch of the numa were trying to get the Revenants' "champion" (Vincent). So now they're all protecting Vincent (who at the same time is doing something dangerous so that he could fight the compulsion to die and stay with Kate). There were some things *AHEM the guérisseurs* that weren't quite wrapped up, but I guess they'll be wrapped up in the next book.
Regarding the Characters:
Meh. The main characters were pretty much the same except for Gaspard (weapons master) who we go to see more of and Kar who was getting weapons training and was less wimpy.

Right. A warning. Kate decides she wants to have sex with Vincent (although it does not happen in this book...)
Also a lot of romantic, gushy stuff, although less than the last book.
